Frequently Asked Questions Are there any requirements that the patient has to meet? Just one – the patient must have a checking account. DOCPAY™ is not a loan, there is no credit check or credit approval. Are there any dollar limits, minimum or maximum? No, the payments can be any size. What does the practice have to do each month to get paid? NOTHING! That's the big advantage of DOCPAY™. You don't have to do anything other than endorse checks and put them in the bank! How much does it cost for a practice to sign up for DOCPAY™? There is a one-time fee of only $49.95. What start-up supplies does the practice receive in exchange for the sign-up fee? DOCPAY™ will provide a set of customized patient enrollment brochures. These brochures can contain any special wording you request to explain the patient finance options. The practice also receives an attractive display holder to place the patient brochures at the checkout area. In addition, we also supply a divided DOCPAY™ Payments Binder. This binder has slots for each of the 12 months to store your DOCPAY™ payments in until the deposit date arrives. The binder is small enough to easily fit in most desk drawers. How much does it cost for a patient to set up a DOCPAY™ Payment Plan? There is a fee of only $19.95 per plan. This fee is paid by the patient to the doctor's office and is then collected from the doctor's office by DOCPAY™ the first week of the following month. How much of the Payment Plan do I receive? Unlike with a patient finance company plan, there is NO "DISCOUNT" removed from what you receive. You get 100%! These are checks drawn on the patient's bank account. Can they possibly bounce? Yes, but automatic payment plans actually reduce the incidence of bounced checks. Even with traditional payment types, most offices receive very few NSF checks (less than one a month) so this becomes a non-issue. Can the DOCPAY™ Plan be cancelled by the patient? That's totally up to the practice. For instance, if the patient has written a check to pay off the last few monthly payments and wants to stop his monthly DOCPAY™ Payments, there's nothing keeping you from returning the undeposited DOCPAY™ Payments to the patient. There is no need to contact DOCPAY™ when that occurs. |
